Despite the heavy rain, it was a pleasure to welcome Minister Chris Penk to Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park last week as part of his tour of Northland, coordinated by NorthChamber.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to share the vision for the Park and showcase some of the innovative work underway inside the Mahinga Innovation Centre.

Minister Penk was introduced to activity happening in the Nutraceuticals labs and Natural Product Development Cluster, including a look at the Holistic Hound product range - a line of natural grooming products for pets developed by founders Erica Wells and Suzanne Hall.

Suzanne leads the park's Natural Product Development Cluster and has an established background in founding several leading natural skincare companies.

Minister Penk holds multiple portfolios, including minister for Building and Construction, Small Business and Manufacturing, Minister for Land Information and is also MP for Kaipara ki Mahurangi. The visit was fantastic opportunity to showcase the collaboration and enterprise here at the Park and we thank everyone involved for their contributions.
